Award for artist

Renowned artist Vasudeo Kamath of Mumbai has been chosen for the Ramachandran National Award instituted by the K.N. Ramachandra Memorial Trust.

He has been selected for the award in recognition of his contribution to art. The award, which carries a purse of Rs. 50,000 and a citation, will be presented to Mr. Kamath on May 1 at Kamashet, near Pune, Maharashtra.

Art fest

The Trust started a five-day ‘Appa Art Fest’ on Wednesday at Kamashet. More than 50 artists from across India are expected to take part.
