Auto driver stabbed to death

A 36-year-old autorickshaw driver was stabbed to death by his friend Tabrez in Siddapura on Thursday.

According to the police, the deceased, Jaffar, a resident of Dayanandanagar slum in Siddapura, used to have frequent fights with Tabrez, who accused him of having an affair with a family member. On Wednesday, Jaffar and Tabrez squabbled over the same issue following which Tabrez stabbed Jaffar repeatedly and fled the scene.

Passersby rushed Jaffar to Victoria Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

Siddapura police have registered a case of murder against Tabrez, who is absconding.
