10-year-old commits suicide

A 10-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire in her house in Yelahanka, New Town, after being reprimanded by her parents on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Manisha, a standard five student of Sunshine School.

According to the police, Manisha did not go to school and her parents reprimanded her for taking leave on a trivial issue.

Manisha left behind a suicide note stating no one is responsible for her death.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.
