Vizag district tops in ‘mee intiki mee bhoomi’

Assistant Commissioner of Endowments E.V. Pushpavardhan called upon employees of various temples to ensure proper protection of land and properties under the jurisdiction of their respective temples.

Addressing a meeting of officials and employees of various temples at Sri Vigneswara Swamy Devasthanam Kalyana Mandapam at Mrs. AVN College Down here on Thursday, he said that Visakhapatnam district stood first in the State in the implementation of ‘mee intiki mee bhoomi’ with 80 per cent progress. He asked them to continue the same zeal in completing the remaining work.

He said that ‘pancha haratulu’ should be introduced in all temples and measures taken to offer ‘harati’ to the deities with ghee. The temple staff should learn to use computers and do away with paper work in future.
