VFS to screen Devdas today

The Vizag Film Society (VFS) affiliated to FFSI and member of National Film Archive of India (NFAI) will organise a special meeting to observe the 69th death anniversary of legendary Hindi cinema actor and singer Kundan Lal Saigal on Monday.

On the occasion the VFS will also screen K.L. Saigal’s film ‘Devdas’ at Visakhaptnam Public Library from 6 p.m.

Devdas, based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’ novel of the same name, was made in the year 1935-36 and it was directed by Pramathesh Barua. The film also starred Jamuna Barua as Parvathi (Paro) and T.R. Rajakumari as Chandramukhi.
