Producer’s charge against distributors

Film producer and distributor Natti Kumar has said that some representatives of the Vizag Film Distribution Association have siphoned off funds for their personal use.

Addressing a media conference here, Mr. Kumar said that he had enrolled himself as a member of the association a decade ago by paying a membership fee of Rs.80,000.

Mr. Kumar said that he and a few others had been forced to take membership as the association leaders threatened to prevent their films from being released in North Andhra.

Stating that he had obtained a statement from the bank which revealed theRs.2-crore scam, Mr. Kumar said that he had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.

Mr. Kumar said that he would approach the DGP and the Chief Minister if the police failed to act on his complaint.
