The State government must immediately fill the 1.39 lakh vacancies, MLC Boddu Nageswara Rao said here on Wednesday.

The APPSC must be reorganised, its calendar announced, and 25,000 posts under Groups I and II filled without delay, Mr. Nageswara Rao said at a press conference organised by the city unit of DYFI.

He also demanded abolition of contract and outsourcing systems and regularisation of employees engaged under them.

Age limit for recruitment was extended to 40 years but many crossed that limit because the recruitment was not taken up. Hence the age limit must be increased to 45 years, the MLC demanded. City secretary of DYFI V. Krishna Rao said that ‘Chalo Collectorate’ will be organised on September 7 seeking filling of the posts in the district.
