Get set for musical treat

Emani Poornima Krishna, a graded artist of AIR, will treat the music aficionados to a flute recital as a part of the 40th edition of Indian classical music concert being organised by Tarakeshwara Foundation at Rajiv Smruthi Bhavan, Beach Road. She will be accompanied by T.V. Hemanth Kumar on violin, Dhanwada Dharma Rao on mridangam and A.S.R. Koundinya on ghatam. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

On Sunday, Hindustani, Carnatic and Western classical music concert -- Shastriya Sangeeta Samahaaram -- is scheduled at 6 a.m. at the same venue. Led by flautist Poornima Krishna, the 41st edition of the concert will feature 10 more artistes from different parts of the country playing various instruments.
