Endowments dept. reclaims land

The Endowments Department has reclaimed nearly Rs. 1 crore worth of land at Munagapaka, belonging to the Sri Dhuri Kamamma Choultry in the city, after it got an order from the court of law in its favour.

Assistant Commissioner E.V. Pushpavardhan and his officers and staff took possession of the land measuring 70 cents following the court verdict and erected boards indicating that the land belonged to the Endowments Department and trespassers will be prosecuted. The land would be auctioned soon, he said.

Executive Officers Kirthi Srinivasa Rao, Sehkara Babu and Rambabu and staff were present. Mr. Pushpavardhan also informed that the department would soon reclaim two pieces of land, of an extent of 2.49 acres and 1.34 acres in Anakapalle town area which also belong to the Sri Dhuri Kamamma Choultry.
