Realising the need to encourage start-ups in a big way, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region has decided to hold bootcamps at select educational institutes and offer handholding to those launching startups.
“We will encourage out-of-the box ideas, research and innovation on the ideas to increase the success rate,” Co-chariman of newly-founded Startupreneurs Forum Suresh Rayudu Chitturi said on Thursday at a session on start-ups – the next wave of Indian economy. A large number of students attended the session.
Mr. Chitturi said they would set up a start-up centre for research and conducting orientation course on start-up at Amaravati. With large experience and infrastructure at their disposal, CII wants to deploy its members for promoting start-up culture.
Mr. Chitturi said Startupreneurs Forum being started by CII for Southern Region to create conducive ecosystem and offer mentorship and other required support to the start-ups would be inaugurated at Bengaluru on August 6.
Later cells will be opened at educational institutes.
The main objective of the forum will be to identify and nurture innovative ideas into startup ventures, create a network for startups with potential investors and senior professionals .
CII-AP Chairman G.S. Shiva Kumar said instead of service-centred start-ups the nation needs more technology-based startups to launch products like SAP.
CII zonal vice-chairman D. Tirupati Raju said start-ups would solve the unemployment problem and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in every field.
Co-founder of Noticebhejo.com Baargav Duggirala and managing partner of Scribbling Pen P. Kiran Babu mentioned how they as a startup after long struggle achieved success.
