Actor Pranitha Subhash of Attarintiki Daredi fame is waiting for a dream role in a socio fantasy or a mythological movie.

On the sidelines of launching the operations of Bigbasket, India’s largest online supermarket here, she told The Hindu on Thursday that donning a role in a film like Bazirao Mastani would be a ‘dream come true’ for her. “I have a lot of regards for Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Ms. Pranitha, only child of Bengaluru-based doctor couple Subhash, a physician, and Jayashri, a gynaecologist, said from childhood she had passion for acting. “I used to be a drama queen. It was natural on the part of my parents to expect that I will also step into their shoes. But I know how they had struggled hard to be successful,” she pointed out.

She is in high praise for Vizag’s scenic beauty. “It’s one of the loveliest cities in the world with fabulous sun-kissed beaches and hillocks all around. Though I have not visited during summer, it also appears to be very cool,” she remarked.

Ms. Pranitha, who launched her debut in films with Kannada remake of Telugu super hit Pokri in 2010, now feels comfortable in speaking Telugu.

“The people here are amazing. The response to my films is great and I have also learnt the language very fast,” she said.

She is confident of the success of multi-starrer Brahmotsavam in which she acts with Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Revathi and Sathyaraj of Kistappa fame in block-bluster Bahubali. “I am confident of it becoming a box-office hit. In fact, I am excited about it as it is the first multi-starrer family film in which I could get a role,” she said.

On plans to foray into Bollywood, she says she does not have any such plan. “If you get an offer,” she was asked. Pat came her reply, “certainly yes if I get a good offer.”
