Arrangements are in place for the conduct of AP Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2016 at 138 centres in 17 cities and towns across the State on May 16, its convenor K. Rama Mohana Rao said on Saturday.
Ranks would be announced on May 27 after publication of the final key on May 23, he said at a press conference.
The number of candidates registered for the test this year was 72,065 against 78,758 last year. Last year there were about 43,500 seats in MBA and around13,600 seats in MCA in the State’s colleges. The exact number of seats available this year would be known at the time of admissions since there would be additions and deletions at the time of admission, he said. The test consists of 200 questions with 200 marks. Qualifying mark was 50. There would be no qualifying mark for the candidates from SC and ST categories. The test would be held from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Prof. Rama Mohana Rao suggested many guidelines to the candidates. They have to be present at their respective examination hall by 9.30 a.m. No candidate would be admitted after 10 a.m.
He advised the candidates to locate their examination centre well in advance and start early on Monday to avoid traffic jams and other problems to reach the examination centre. “Mobile number of Chief Superintendent of Test Centre is printed on a candidate’s hall-ticket and the official can be contacted in case of facing any problem in locating the examination centre.” In case the e-hall ticket downloaded by the candidate was without his or her photograph, the candidate has to bring two passport sized photographs attested by a gazetted officer to the examination centre and paste one on the nominal roll and the other on the e-hall ticket. Correction in the name of candidate, father’s name, category, date of birth or any other detail can be made by the candidate in the nominal roll at the time of examination. Such candidates have to report at the examination centre one hour in advance.
