Hundreds of policemen of the Andhra Pradesh Special Protection Force had a field day on Saturday morning riding through the core capital region.

Led by APSP commandant K. N. Rao, about 400 policemen who are to take security postings at the Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi of Amaravati took part in the rally.

It was also an awareness rally for the policemen about the surroundings of the secretariat complex and an attempt to spread the benefits of cycling for oneself and the environment.

Policemen of all cadres took part in the cycle rally that started at the Kankadurga temple in Vijayawada around 5.30 a.m.

Cyclists with head gear and uniform dress code passed through the Prakasam Barrage, Karakatta, Venkatayapalem and reached the Interim Government Complex site at Velagapudi.
