As a prelude to the three-day visit by a high-level South Korean team of industrialists from September 21 to 23, two officials of the country’s embassy in India, Park Eun Jin and Park Yung Suh met Krishna district collector Babu A and sub-collector S. Nagalakshmi here on Friday.

The South Korean delegation is expected to comprise 100 members from diverse fields, but mainly from industry. The Koreans are said to be interested in investments in the tourism and manufacturing sectors.

Mr Babu explained to the South Korean Embassy officials the efforts being made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to build a logistics hub in the State and the opportunities that would open up in the near future.

Mr. Park Eun Jin said the capital city development plans reflected Mr. Naidu’s vision and Korean industrialists would certainly like to partner with A.P. towards that end.

A meeting of Indian and Korean entrepreneurs is planned to be held in Vijayawada on September 22. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is an invitee to it.
