Congress victorious in achieving Oppn. unity: Raghuveera

The Congress party has succeeded in achieving the unity of all Opposition parties in favour of K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao’s Private Member Bill on Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha, said Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy.

In a statement released here on Thursday, he expressed his gratitude to the Samajwadi Party, BSP, JD(U), CPI, CPI(M), Janata Dal and other parties that stood by the “five crore people” of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said the people were witness to the “drama” of the Telugu Desam and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in this regard.
