May 01, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Demanding the arrest of actor-turned-politician Sivaji under sedition charges, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha city president Ch. Ravindra Reddy and others on Saturday lodged complaint with the police.

Mr. Ravindra Reddy along with Yuva Morcha members met DCP (L&O) L.K.V. Ranga Rao at the office of Commissioner of Police and filed a case and demanded arrest of Sivaji for his alleged anti-national comments.

“Mr. Sivaji said that he and Chalasani Srinivas would remove Andhra Pradesh from India’s map and all the six crore people will join them in their fight,” Mr. Ravindra Reddy said in his complaint. “Such comments are anti-national and undemocratic,” he stressed.

He condemned Sivaji and Chalasani for making derogatory comments against BJP leaders regarding Special Category Status and asked the duo not to resort to such inflammatory talks anymore.
