BJP takes a dig at TDP over Jagan issue

April 30, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Criticising the comments by Telugu Desam Party leaders over YSR Congress (YSRC) chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy being granted audience by Union Ministers recently, BJP city leaders made it clear that the BJP was not a party working under the TDP and it never would.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, BJP leader and former MLA Vellampalli Srinivas said: “Everyone, including the common man, can meet the Home Minister and other Union Ministers. But Telugu Desam Party leaders are unnecessarily making an issue out of Jagan’s meeting. It won’t work if TDP wants BJP to stay under their party. Both the opposition and coalition parties in AP are trying to trouble BJP though the centre has been extending all support to the State”. “TDP is unethically accepting defected MLAs from YSRC. The MLAs should first resign and join TDP”, he added.
