Vanamamalai Mutt Jeer performs ‘Mangalasasanam’

Sri Madhurakavi Ramanuja Jeer from Sri Vanamamalai Mutt in Nanguneri arrived at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, for Mangalasasanam and worship on Tuesday.

The acharya reached the temple from Manavala Mamunigal shrine and was received at Ranga Ranga gopuram with temple honours. Later, the Jeer offered worship at Sri Andal, Sri Ramanujar and Sri Nammazhwar shrines. With sadari mariyathai , the Jeer later offered worship to the presiding deity Sri Ranaganathaswamy and Sri Ranganayaki.

Earlier, the swami was received by Venu Srinivasan, chairman of Board of Trustees of the temple, and P. Jayaraman, Joint Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment and Executive Officer of the temple,

A large number of devotees witnessed pattina pravesam of Srirangam by Sri Jeer which formed part of Mangalasasanam.
