The Railways will operate the following Suvidha special trains from Vasco-da-Gama to Velankanni to clear the extra rush of traffic in view of the Velankanni festival:
Suvidha Special trains (No.02715) from Vasco-da-Gama to Velankanni would be operated on August 27 and September 2. The trains will leave will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 10.30 a.m. and reach Velankanni at 12.30 p.m. the next day.
Another special, Train No.02717 Vasco-da-Gama – Velankanni Suvidha special train will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 1.30 p.m. on August 30 and reach Velankanni at 1 p.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Kundapur, Udupi, Suratkal, Mangalore Jn., Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikkode, Shoranur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam. The trains would have 5 AC 3-tier, 9 Sleeper Class and two Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. Advance reservations for the trains have commenced.
