A three-day science and robotics for students from standards VII to IX got under way at the Anna Science Centre Planetarium here on Tuesday.

The camp offers a mix of learning, practical and fun activities to kindle interest in science. The camp was inaugurated by R. Justin Joseyphus, a faculty member from National Institute of Technology.

“Out of 54 children who registered, 51 turned up on Tuesday,” said Lenin Tamilkovan, Project Director of the centre. Experts from various fields will handle sessions. The emphasis will be hands on experience apart from lectures. Students will be introduced to the world of robotics, electronics, organic farming, conservation of environment, and astronomy.
