Special trains announced between Chennai and Tirunelveli

The Southern Railway has announced the following special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli via Tiruchi to clear the extra rush of traffic:

Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Special Train (06063) will leave Chennai Egmore at 9.05 p.m. on September 4 and 11, leave Tiruchi at 3 a.m. the next day and reach Tirunelveli at 9.45 a.m. the same day.

Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Special Train (06064) will leave Tirunelveli at 2.45 p.m. on September 6 and 13, leave Tiruchi at 9 p.m. the same day and reach Chennai Egmore at 4.20 a.m. the next day.

Composition of trains

The trains would have one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, one second class chair car and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

They would stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vridhachchalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal Road, Madurai Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Special Train (06064) will stop at Mambalam, according to a Southern Railway press release.
