A minor boy accused of misbehaving with a woman a couple of days ago at Lalgudi reportedly committed suicide on Sunday night.
The 16 year old was found hanging in his house. He along with six others was named as accused in a case registered by the police on a complaint from S. Anusuya Mary (23).
Police sources said Anusuya Mary and her husband Stalin were intercepted by a group of youths on Friday night. The group questioned Mr. Stalin as to who the woman was, which led to a quarrel. Even as this was on, the youths allegedly misbehaved with her, the police said. The woman ran into a house nearby and alerted the locals.
