Mason falls down from train, dies

A mason on board an unreserved coach in the Chennai-bound Sethu Express from Rameswaram died after he reportedly fell down from the compartment in the early hours on Monday. Railway Police gave the name of the dead as K. Guna (25) of L. Pudur in Lalgudi taluk. The incident took place between Keeranur and Narthamalai in the Tiruchi–Pudukottai broad gauge section.

Railway Police said Guna had boarded the train at Ramanathapuram and was proceeding to Tiruchi when he reportedly fell down from the coach and died.

The railway police came to know about it after Guna’s friends alerted upon arrival of the train at Tiruchi.

The body was handed over to his near ones after post mortem.
