Pathemaari and Adhvaana Vetta have bagged the 24th Padmarajan awards instituted by the Padmarajan Memorial Trust for the best movie and the best short story respectively.
Pathemaari , written and directed by Salim Ahmed, captures the hardships faced by non-resident Keralites. Salim Ahmad will get cash awards of Rs.20,000 and Rs.10,000 and mementos, being the director and scriptwriter of the movie. The winner was selected by a jury comprising T.K. Adhvaana Vetta , written by E.P. Sreekumar, tells the story of helpless human lives, vulnerable to the present day pressures of life and exploited by latest technology.
