Nimisha’s mother files ‘missing’ case

July 11, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

The State police on Sunday said that a “missing person” complaint has been registered in Kasaragod district on the basis of a complaint given by the Bindu Sambat, the mother of Nimisha who was suspected to have joined the IS along with her husband Yahiya.

Earlier in the day, Ms. Sambat met Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. She told journalists later that Mr. Vijayan was very sympathetic to her plight and had heard her fully. Mr. Vijayan assured her that no effort would be spared in tracing her daughter.

Ms. Sambat said the meeting had rekindled in her the hope that she would be reunited with her daughter.
