The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Tuesday initiated steps to sort out issues in the Ottappalam constituency following the decision to induct former AICC secretary Shanimol Usman in the fray from the seat for the May 16 Assembly election. KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran held a meeting with DCC secretary P. Rajaratnam and United Democratic Front (UDF) constituency chairman P.S. Abdul Khadar and other local leaders.

Mr. Sudheeran assured the local leaders that the organisational issues in the constituency would be amicably settled. He urged them to work in a united manner for the victory of Ms. Usman. The delegation, according to a KPCC statement, assured Mr. Sudheeran that they would work for the UDF candidate.
