Excise officials on Monday arrested a person with banned tobacco products at Chakka.

The accused, identified as Santhosh Kumar, was apprehended for possession of tobacco products including 139 packets of pan masala.

The Excise team, which was led by Thiruvananthapuram Excise Range Inspector P. Sreeraj, nabbed the accused after receiving information that he conducted an illegal business of such products near the Government Industrial Training Institute at Chakka.
