Four persons, including two women, were arrested on Saturday as the City police busted a honeytrap blackmail racket to which nearly ten people are believed to have fallen prey.

The Medical College police have recorded the arrests of Anu, 26, of Anayara; Sanu, 19, of Cheruvakkal; Sheeba, 30, of Chakka; and Deepa, 36, of Kumarapuram. They were nabbed during an investigation initiated on the basis of a complaint submitted by a government employee, whose identity has been withheld. He had complained that he was blackmailed with photographs that were clicked after he was forcibly stripped of his clothes and made to pose with nude women.

The complainant was allegedly lured by a woman, identified as Maya of Kollam, whom he had met during a journey.
