Safdar Hashmi remembered

The Safdar Hashmi memorial day was observed in memory of the late playwright at the Manaveeyam Veedhi on Sunday evening.

The programme, jointly organised by the Purogamana Kalasahithya Sangham, Manaveeyam Theruvorakoottam and other cultural organisations, discussed the works of Safdar Hashmi and G. Sankara Pillai.

Playwright Pirappancode Murali inaugurated the programme. Students of the School of Drama in Thrissur later staged the Malayalam adaptation of Badal Sircar’s Bhoma.

The play was directed by Aswanth.
