Music festival begins tomorrow

The Swathi Sangeethotsavam will be held at the Kuthiramalika Palace in East Fort from January 4 to 13.

The festival will open with a Carnatic vocal performance by Rama Varma on Wednesday. The succeeding days will have performances by Amrutha Venkatesh, Aditi Prahlad, O.S. Arun, S. Mahadevan, Surabhi Pusthakam, Brinda Manickavasakan, Thamarakkad Sri Govindan Namboothiri, Amith Nadig, Kashyap Mahesh and Sanjay Subrahmanyan. The concerts will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on all days, according to a press release that was issued here on Monday. —Staff Reporter
