‘Yeddyurappa admirers association is apolitical’

August 19, 2016 07:48 am | Updated 07:48 am IST - MANGALURU:

The Akhila Karnataka B.S. Yeddyurappa Abhimanigala Sangha has nothing to do with the Bharatiya Janata Party, though members of the sangha were BJP workers, said Shivaraj Arasikere, State general secretary of the sangha.

While claiming that the sangha was apolitical, Mr. Arasikere told reporters here on Thursday that their members will stand behind and lend the much-needed strength to Mr. Yeddyurappa in political and other fields. The formation of the association of Mr. Yeddyurappa’s admirers cannot be construed as groupism or anti-party activity. He said that they have set up district units of the sangha in 18 places.
