Talks on Nehru at Mangalore varsity

Several eminent personalities, including the former Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker B.L. Shankar, will deliver lectures at Mangala Gangothri in the coming week as part of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Jawaharlal Nehru by Mangalore University. The talks will be delivered at Mangala Auditorium.

Mr. Shankar will speak on ‘Nehru and parliamentary democracy’ on Sunday at 10 a.m. while the Chief Minister’s media advisor Dinesh Amin Mattu will speak on ‘Nehru and conception of social justice’ on August 24 at 10 a.m.

Hanumanthaiah would speak on ‘Modernity and development’ at 10 a.m. on August 25 while the former Minister B.K. Chandrashekhar will speak on ‘Nehruvian leadership’ on August 26 at 3 p.m., said a release.
