Cong. working to pacify Krishna, says Oscar

February 01, 2017 12:46 am | Updated 12:46 am IST - Udupi:

Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes has said that the Congress was already working towards pacifying the former Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna.

Mr. Krishna had resigned from the primary membership of the Congress a couple of days ago on the grounds that he had been sidelined. Mr. Fernandes told presspersons here on Tuesday that the Congress would find a solution to this issue (of resignation of Mr. Krishna). “It is an internal matter and the people within the house will solve it,” he said. On the repeated statements by the former Union Minister and Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Mr. Fernandes said that Mr. Poojary was showing the right way. “We will try to correct ourselves,” he said. To another question, Mr. Fernandes said that he had no information on the dissatisfaction of senior Congress leader C.K. Jaffer Sharief. “Mr. Siddaramaiah has his own responsibilities. Problems are common in the field of politics. We will put in all our efforts to solve these problems,” Mr. Fernandes said.
