Two persons charred to death when their motorcycle hit a stationary lorry and caught fire near Sankarankovil on Wednesday night.
Police said the speeding bike hit the stationary tipper lorry near Ramalingapuram intersection near Sankarankovil. As the petrol tank of the two-wheeler broke in the impact and caught fire, the victims were charred to death on the spot.
Their identity could not be established immediately. Sankarankovil police are investigating. – Special Correspondent
