Activist ‘Traffic’ K.R. Ramaswamy has filed a PIL petition in the Madras High Court Bench here seeking a direction to Madurai Collector and Commissioner of Police to prosecute those who had erected flex boards, without obtaining necessary permission from authorities concerned, in view of AIADMK party meet at Tamukkam grounds on Sunday.

He also accused the Inspector of Police (Law and Order), Tallakulam Police Station, of not acting on a complaint lodged by him and instigating the ruling party men to assault him. The petitioner wanted a direction to the officials to initiate action against the Inspector too.

His associate, R. Fathima (41) of Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district, has also filed a PIL petition seeking a crackdown on diesel auto rickshaws being used as stage carriage vehicles instead of offering their services from point to point.
