Corporation of Madurai will conduct a daylong special camp for Ward 1 in Zone 1 at Anaiyur on February 20 (Saturday) for remittance of taxes and for registering new applicants seeking drinking water connection from the recently commissioned Cauvery integrated drinking water scheme.
According to an official release, residents covered under Koodal Nagar, Karisalkulam, Shanti Nagar, Raj Nagar, Booman Nagar, Railar Nagar, Pandian Nagar, Periyar Nagar, RMS Colony, IOC Nagar, Ramunni Nagar and surrounding pockets can make use of the camp. During the special camp, the public can also pay their pending property tax, water tax, underground drainage tax and vacant site tax.
Residents preferring to switch over to Cauvery integrated water scheme should submit a fresh application at the camp. After examining the technical feasibility and other parameters, officials would give the connection.
