Indian Coast Guard Interceptor Boat C-137 at Mandapam ICG Station was decommissioned with full military honour at the sunset on Monday.
Station Commandant H.H. More conducted the ceremony, graced by various civil and military dignitaries and those who had served as crew members on the boat. The ceremony commenced with an impressive guard of honour and ended with the hauling down of Coast Guard ensign for the last time at the sunset along with lowering of the decommissioning pennant.
During its lifetime, the vessel clocked 1,514 days at sea and covered 54,588 nautical miles on patrolling.
