Free notebooks distributed

Free notebooks were distributed to children of panchayat union schools of Kalligudi and Tirumangalam by Rajamani, District Elementary Educational Officer, at a function organised at Mukthi Nilayam Sadhana Kendra at Rayapalayam village near here on Monday.

The Sri Vasantha Sai Charitable Trust has been distributing free notebooks to students of panchayat union schools in Kalligudi, Tirumangalam, Chellampatti, T. Kallupatti and Kottampatti panchayat unions every year.

K. S. Venkatraman, trustee, welcomed the gathering. Fred Hostetler proposed a vote of thanks. This year’s beneficiaries also included students of school for the differently abled run by Anugraha Trust of Nagercoil and inmates of Boys Town Society, according to a press release.
