April 24, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - MADURAI:

V.P. Pandi alias ‘Attack’ Pandi, the prime accused in the ‘Pottu’ Suresh murder case, was granted bail in one of the cases against him by Judicial Magistrate Court VI here on Saturday.

The case relates to an alleged offence under Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act booked in Perungudi police station. An advocate representing ‘Attack’ Pandi said that bail was sought in the case citing delay by the police in filing the charge-sheet.

‘Attack’ Pandi, who is now lodged in prison, has several cases pending against him in Madurai and Virudhunagar districts and he is yet to get bail in a majority of these cases.
