The University Grants Commission (UGC) in association with the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) will conduct a regional training workshop on National Academic Depository (NAD) at the varsity’s seminar complex on Monday.
The conference will discuss NAD, the programme for digitalising all university records including degree certificates. Pro-vice chancellors, deans, registrars, controller of examinations of all Central universities, State public universities and institutions of national importance under the control of Central ministries or departments will participate in the training workshop.
Ishita Roy, Joint Secretary, Higher Education Department, Ministry of Human Resource Development, and national mission director, RUSA, will inaugurate the programme. Cusat Vice Chancellor J. Letha will preside. An official release said the government intended to establish a digital depository of academic awards on the pattern of the securities depository.
