So much talk, little done

Throwing garbage out of vehicles at vantage points, especially over a bridge, is one of the most common ways of getting rid of it. Either it falls on the railway track below or into the river.

A look at the small space near the overbridge at SN Junction, Thripunithura, reveals how people passing over the bridge end up throwing domestic refuse on the road side. It remains hidden unless one takes a look at the space.

And, garbage kits remain there for long till someone makes a complaint to the municipality, perhaps. So much for the people’s contribution towards making their area clean!

The government authorities have their own dirty premises where waste is dumped and not cleared. Quite a few spots at the Government Medical College at Kalamassery continue to remain dumping corners.

Many a time the hospital staff have managed to burn it. But the waste corners are still there.
