Smart City CEO to be appointed soon

The Smart City project of Kochi is expected to get an impetus soon as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Cochin Smart Mission Limited (CSML) will be appointed shortly. The CSML is the Special Purpose Vehicle registered for the implementation of the project. Though Central funds have started arriving for the project, uncertainly continued over the selection of the CEO.

The decision on the CEO will have to be taken in consultation with the Kochi Corporation and the State government. A decision on the official will be taken at the next director board meeting of the CSML, said A.P.M. Muhammad Haneesh, the State Mission Director of the Smart City programme. — Special Correspondent
