Solar scam accused Saritha S. Nair deposed before the G. Sivarajan Commission that Keshavan Nair, the personal assistant of Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed, demanded Rs.75 lakh as bribe for the Minister.
She had earlier deposed before the panel that Mr. Nair had demanded Rs.2 crore as bribe.
It was during the cross-examination by the lawyer of the Minister on Wednesday that Saritha quoted the amount as Rs.75 lakh.
The first instalment of the bribe, Rs.25 lakh, was handed over to Mr. Mohammed at his official residence and the second instalment of Rs.15 lakh on May 6, 2012 during the general body meeting of the KSEB Engineers Association, she said.
She handed over to the panel, a flash drive, which reportedly contained 12 files relating to the evidences she had earlier submitted to the panel.
