LDF to launch agitations

August 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 05:06 pm IST - KOCHI:

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) will launch agitations exposing the ‘wrong claims of the civic administration on the Mission Kochi projects’.

According to K.N. Sunilkumar, the Parliamentary Party secretary of the CPI (M) in the council, the party and the Front had never caused any obstruction to these projects hoping that it may bring some improvement to the city life. Now, its time to pull up the civic administrators for their failure, he said.

Though the Mayor claims that the administration has moved ahead with the proposal for a new plant at Brahmapuram, no such proposal has come up for the consideration of the local body. “As the permission of the Kochi Corporation council is required for implementing any such proposal, the Mayor is cheating the people of Kochi,” he said.

“The e-governance programme has not moved an inch. The renovation of the two town halls was carried out by diverting the funds earmarked for other projects. The attempts to befool the people of Kochi will be resisted,” he said.
