Key accused in gold smuggling surrenders

The Special Investigation and Intelligence Branch (SIIB) of Customs probing the Muvattupuzha gold smuggling case on Tuesday recorded the arrest of a key accused in the case, taking the total number of arrested to 36. According to Customs officials, M.P. Ismayil, 41, of Muvattupuzha surrendered before the officials after absconding for about three months.
