The city police on Thursday arrested two persons with one and half kg of ganja. The arrested have been identified as Saanu, 24, of Katari Bagh in Willingdon Island and Muhammed Jiyas of Mattanchery. The accused had been sourcing ganja from Namakkal in Tamil Nadu and sold it to IT professionals in Kakkanad area.
According to the police, Saanu was involved in a chain snatching case reported from Kalamassery in December 2014. The accused were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
