Applications invited for varsity courses

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, has invited online applications for admissions to its postgraduate and diploma programmes for 2016-17.

The courses are offered at the main centre of the university at Kalady and at the regional centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Panmana, Ettumanoor, Thuravoor, Thrissur, Tirur, Koyilandy and Payyannur. The courses are - M.A (four semesters) in Malayalam/Hindi/English/History/Philosophy//Music/Theatre/Comparative Literature and Linguistics/Sanskrit Sahitya/Vedanta/Nyaya Vyakarana/Sanskrit General/Dance (Bharatanatyam/Mohiniyattom), Master of Science; Master of Social Work; Master of Physical Education; Master of Visual Arts.

Eligibility for admission

Bachelors’ degree in any discipline is the eligibility for admission to the courses. Bachelors’ degree in the subject concerned is necessary for music and dance. Admission to the courses will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination. An aptitude test will be conducted for admission to M.A Music/Dance/Theatre courses.

The entrance examination for MA and postgraduate diploma programmes will be held at Thiruvananthapuram, Panmana, Ettumanoor, Kalady, Thuravoor, Thrissur Tirur, Koyilandy, and Payyannur. The entrance test for MSW examination will be held at Thuravoor, Tirur, Payannur and Kalady centres.

The online applications will be received till May 10. The printed copies of the applications should reach the heads concerned or directors before May 13. More details about the admission process could be had from www.ssus.ac.in;www.ssusonline.org.
