At 13, Jahnavi Sriperamubuduru, the young mountaineer from the city continues to amaze her admirers and the critics alike.
For ‘Down Under’, this girl has set another unique record scaling the Mt. Kosciuzsko in Australia and in the process becoming the youngest ever from India to do so.
Interestingly, Jahnavi along with her father Krishna Rao have also become the first-ever father-daughter duo to achieve this rare feat.
For Jahnavi, it has become sort of a habit to create records, as she had earlier successfully scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro last year and this is part of her dream to scaling ‘Seven Summits’.
“This is a dream come true. It was a real struggle in the third phase and when I completed the 10{+t}{+h}highest peak at 4.30 p.m. local Australian time, my joy knew no bounds,” Jahnavi exclaims in a message.
“I would like to thank each and every one who supported us directly and indirectly to make this happen,” dashing young champion remarked. She also revealed that a qualified Australian agency is verifying whether she is the youngest ever from any country to scale the summit.
The feat also ensured that the Telugu Association of Sydney has put up a felicitation and interactive session.
