Under fire, Balayya tenders apology

March 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Regretting that the remarks he made in a lighter vein related to filmy scenes were misconstrued, actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna appealed to people not to misread his intention.

“I have enormous respect for women and it is our family tradition to regard any woman as a member of our family. It is a trait we inherited from our father to treat women like our sisters,” he said. He reiterated that the remarks he made in a film-related event were not intended against any one.

“I tender my apology if my remarks hurt any one,” he said.
