Tributes paid to Justice Surya Rao

The Bench and Bar of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday paid rich tributes to Justice T Ch. Surya Rao, retired High Court judge, who died at a private hospital here on February 1.

Justice Surya Rao headed the committee appointed by the High Court to oversee the process of auctioning of properties of scam hit Agri Gold consortium. The Acting Chief Justice and the Judges of the High Court assembled in the first court hall in the afternoon. The judges and the advocate generals of AP and Telangana have recalled the services rendered by Justice Surya Rao to the judiciary. Justice Surya Rao was born in Moosasowalapuram village in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on March 15, 1946. He retired on March 15, 2008 on attaining the age of superannuation.
